I'm afraid to leave my home, afraid to check the mail there's messages on my phone saying they're sympathetic and they care they spend more money then I actually owe calling me every day there's a lineup on my phone, how quickly do you think you can pay ask your family for a loan cause it won't just go away and you can just get a job, we all get anxious and afraid, you're not supposed to feel like, your wasting your life away for more money to pay the rent more money to stay awake gotta give me something gotta give me anything i'll take what I can get well the secret to success, how well you handle stress cut off feelings of regret, oh I should have spend more days outside watching animals pass the time, keep track of the crawling vines they grow up and get real high, a life not unlike mine get a job you'll be happier make more money get what I deserve get what you deserve, get what I deserve, oh we all deserve something

Lucy never got away Judy had a lot to say Mary never had close friends She never wanted them Truth ain't clear but they say that's life spend to much time thinking at night am I good enough to sleep do I deserve what I dream Lucy has something to ask would you sit beside me we'll go all the way walk a little behind me like a hunter stalking prey follow me to bed we'll stay up late make a plan for when the structure breaks what will we grow for us to eat where will we go what will we see Lucy has something to ask would you sit beside me we'll go all the way walk a little behind me like a hunter stalking prey they'll make a move on me and you'll just scare em away prove a point to everyone their hunt is no longer safe

Take these hands away from me and never again will I every pray place your hands on my chest feel my heart palpitate I'm all worn out but I'm too awake your happiness is my own I stare at the door until you come back may you never feel alone and how does it feel when you think of her all those years ago saying it's done for good this time she didn't need to say it, I know and how does it feel to see me looking into my glassy face and is the glass ever really broken if all the shards stay in place and how does it feel to see me glossy eye's all worn down somebody earns a look like that when they've heard too many awful sounds like this How does it feel to see me standing here in your door way it's been so long since I've seen that but I think about it every day

Judy Says 03:27
Judy's flowers never wilt so she's never felt fulfilled and she wants to get a job she's got so much time to kill and she wants to kill it all let boredom never be her fault she gets some good results from drinking alcohol she knows it blurs her vision, she talks just like a preacher it's all damnation and screaming people she tells everyone I'll see you all in hell written out of the will when her mother took ill she didn't take her time to speak she said silence should always be filled now she never speaks at all says words are just like salt too much will dry you out if you go on and on she knows it blurs her vision, she talks just like a preacher it's all damnation and screaming people she tells everyone I'll see you all in hell Judy got a good thrill sitting down real still she could sit for months at a time some mountains grew from a hill doing nothing at all and some how they've grown so tall so i'll sit and wait, stare at the wall she knows it blurs her vision, she talks just like a preacher it's all damnation and screaming people she tells everyone I'll see you all in hell Judy says I've had enough sick of what I've become
5.
Mary Says 02:26
Being honest ain't always easy try to remember what you've had forget Mary always tried to speak so freely she forgot all the shit that she said cause Mary understands all sorts of slight of hand Mary can't take it easy she's gotta write it down on the palm of her hand And Mary say's I feel lonely and she's got friends but she don't talk to them and oh she just can't stand the weakness of man well Mary says don't talk to me don't think of me and don't hold my hand and Mary says it will get ugly if your brave enough to say you understand and oh she just can't stand a good waste of lamb they could sacrifice something else
6.
Don't forget what they say about the sword and the pen they frame it in a way that works for them so they gave you a sword they don't tell you what it's for some people hide it under the bed and others by the door Sit on the throne the unfortunate king the blade above is sharp and dangling and the string is worn too many fibers torn should it fall on your head it won't damage the floor it's what you call a hidden cost they sell you the lock but not the box and always in the name of someone else to blame there's a jug full of water for those that need to drink there's a blanket on the ground for an offering there's some eyes that used to see there's a mouth that used to eat but the thirst never stops and they want you thirsty gave you anything you ever wanted in your life a house, a car, a job, whatever you like gave you anything you ever wanted ya that's true they'd never hurt a nice guy like you know exactly what it is your going through
7.
Lucy Says 02:16
Lucy says she can't stay out tonight but she'll swing by to say hello she's been working on something new she wants to know all that she can know but lucy says well who's got the time if you don't hey that's alright I understand Judy couldn't control her moods her teachers blame her attitude she takes these pills to even out now she's nothing but a dry mouth and Judy says well now I'm a straight line a measurement of time a severed head soaking in wine Mary never once told the truth she sold out of the photo booth never once had a doubt she could always convince herself and mary says well life's a grape vine one grape at a time will get to your head and keep you up all night you gotta understand that's just who I am
